Welcome! We are glad to have you as part of the Church..
What feelings do you have now that you have become a full member of the Catholic Church?
The Easter Vigil does not mark the end of the formation process but the beginning of a commitment to a lifelong discovery and living out the Christian message.
Alan Chua Ming Ling is a civil servant in a government department in town. Born in a Buddhist family, married to a Catholic wife and had his marriage blessed in the Church and that was his first step towards getting to know God. Inspired by his parents-in-law and his wife, being loving and caring Catholics themselves, he decided to enroll in the RCIA program. He learned much about the bible, the power of prayers and His unending love. He was particularly touched by the story of Paul’s conversion after encountering the Lord in Acts 9:1-19 and the parable of the lost son in Luke 15:11-32, “we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” This convinced him that God is a compassionate, forgiving and merciful God.
Mellisa Soo Li Mee is a graphic designer by profession. She shared that life is never always a bed of roses. There are moments of joy and moments of sorrow. God’s presence doesn’t mean that things will always go smoothly. Life is full of challenges. However, she is assured that God will continue to walk with us and be faithful to us even in our sorrows or failures. His company will bring us comfort that will exceed our understanding. “I am with you always, even to the end of age.”(Matt. 28:20) She added, “I wish I can be a better person. I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide me as I walk in the journey of faith.”
Kenneth Soo, younger brother to Mellisa is an automotive engineering graduate. After spending 43 weeks in the formation process through RCIA, he begins to see things in different perspective. He is now more considerate, respectful and above all willing to share time, talent and treasure for the glory of God. “I am now a very peaceful person knowing God is always with me. In any circumstances, I have God to fall upon for He is my master.”
Sinclair Kelvindiran is attached to the Health Department. He attends Church regularly just to accompany his friends. He wasn’t at all yearning to be with God. He was around just simply because of his friends. Overtime, things began to change. I was beginning to see the light. I was beginning to search for Him. And to that he said, “I long to thank Him for the grace in choosing me.”
Tina Wong Fui Ting , who is working in a private company admitted that the faith journey she went through had given her the opportunity to experience conversion. Conversion is the ever-present call of God to grow both in the faith and in the living of it. It means deepening our relationship with God and our fellow Catholics. She extended her appreciation to all the animators and sponsor for guiding her in her faith journey.

Sandakan : A total of 52 newly baptized, their sponsors and all animators of the RCIA process attended the annual neophyte’s nite at the St Mary’s Cathedral Parish Hall on Sunday 3rd May 2009. The occasion was a gesture of the Cathedral to welcome the new members to the big community of the Catholic faith.
Fr Thomas Makajil, the rector of St Mary’s Cathedral graced the function. He commended the core team and all animators of the Parish RCIA process headed by Alban Lagan for their strong commitment and dedication, working directly with participants in the process.
He urged the sponsors to continue to walk with the neophytes in their journey of faith. He added that there is a need for people to carry out a variety of functions and to support the process. He extended his sincere appreciation to the sponsors for their role in contributing to the success of the RCIA process.
He welcomed the neophytes to the family of God and called upon them to live a Christ-like life for God’s glory. Loving God, loving others and one self is the gist of Christ’s teaching. He hoped that as they have known Christ they will bring Christ to others. God expects all of us to share the Good News with others. It is a privilege introducing others to Jesus, helping others to discover and explore the goodness of life.

What are the benefits of running during pregnancy?
Going for a run is a quick and effective way to work your heart and body, giving you a mental and physical boost when you feel tired. Plus, like walking, it's easy to fit into your schedule.
Is it safe for me to run during pregnancy?
It depends. If you ran regularly before getting pregnant, it's fine to continue — as long as you take some precautions and first check with your doctor or midwife.
But pregnancy isn't the time to start a running routine, according to Julie Tupler, a registered nurse, certified personal trainer, and founder of Maternal Fitness, a fitness program for pregnant women and new moms in New York City.
Pregnancy's also not the time to start training for a marathon, a triathlon, or any other race, cautions Tupler. "The first trimester is when the baby's major organs are forming, and overheating's a real issue. If a woman's core temperature gets too high, it could cause problems with the baby, so why risk it? Instead, train for the marathon of labor by strengthening your abdominals and pelvic floor muscles," she says.
Whether you're pregnant or not, running can be hard on your knees. During pregnancy, your joints loosen, which makes you more prone to injury. So unless you're an avid runner, you should probably steer clear of this form of workout at least until after your baby arrives. For now, focus on exercises that are safe for pregnancy.
First trimester tips
Follow the usual precautions, such as drinking lots of water before, during, and after your run. Dehydration can decrease blood flow to the uterus and may even cause premature contractions.
Wear shoes that give your feet plenty of support, especially around the ankles and arches. Invest in a good sports bra to keep your growing breasts well supported.
Second trimester tips
Your center of gravity's shifting as your belly grows, leaving you more vulnerable to slips and falls. For safety, stick to running on flat pavement.
If you lose your balance, do your best to fall correctly, says Tupler: Try to fall to your side or on your behind, to avoid trauma to the abdomen. Or put your hands out to break your fall before your abdomen hits the ground.
Consider running on a track as your pregnancy progresses. Not only is the track surface easier on your joints, but you may feel safer running somewhere where you won't get stranded in case of an emergency.
Third trimester tips
Be as careful as you've been during the first two trimesters. And remember: If you feel too tired to go for a run, listen to your body and take a break. Being sedentary is unhealthy, but pushing yourself too hard is also harmful.
Most avid runners find that their jogging pace slows down considerably during the third trimester — a fast walk may be a better choice as your due date approaches.
Warning signs
Never run to the point of exhaustion or breathlessness. Pushing yourself to the limit forces your body to use up oxygen that should be going to your baby.

In order to keep up with them I imitated their looks and exterior
So I became someone else just to boast And I thought that through that I gained a fortune
But I found that I'd lost, for these are mere appearances

Dan aku sangka jika aku lakukan seperti itu Aku akan dapat kelebihan Tetapi apa yang aku perolehi hanyalah kerugian Kerana ia adalah luaran semata-mata

Sabah Trail Seekers, in partnership with Sabah Adventure Challenge, is excited to be bringing to you our second race on the beautiful, challenging, and occasionally treacherous trails in Penampang, Sabah. The course will follow one of STS’s signature training routes from Kibambangan Water Resort to the village of Terian.
There are two categories for this race. The 15km race will take runners straight up the side of a 775-metre hill, on a combination of single track and logging roads. The 24km race will give runners the additional torture pleasure of climbing that hill twice, with a descent to the village of Terian in between.
